How Well We Eat - Homegrown!

Well, our first summer and fall of gardening is behind us and we loved every minute of it.  We just took our last raspberries off the bush a few days ago and I'm still harvesting 12" long parsnips on a regular basis.  Without further adieu, here's a snap of our produce.

The Kaleva Beach potatoes we found and used to start part of our crop.

We harvested over 50 pounds of potatoes!

The "Three Amigos" bulging with tomatoes

We planted way too much kale! Lots in the freezer.

We ate raspberries right until the end of October.

Ok they're not the cutest cucumbers but they were good!

More beets next year.  They're soooo sweet!

They started on our window ledges and the finished off hanging
from cups hooks in our windows.  Looked like Christmas.

Tomato soup, tomato paste, tomato sauce...

Our 7 cu ft. freezer is full!  Food for a winter!

Jim's already scheming and dreaming about next year's crops while I figure out how to use 25 + containers of tomato sauce in the freezer.

Stay tuned!
