And then, and then and then

And then and then and then.  That's what house building is all about!  First you do one thing and then something else, and then you change direction altogether and then....You get the idea.  In addition to all the house building and landscaping we've been doing we'e also been enjoying a few of Malcolm Island's scenery, beaches and our own budding yard.  Here is an array of our findings...

Our deer resistant daisies showing off Jim's rock line garden.
The other deer resistant plants donated by Connie and Peter didn't fair as well.
Seems the Malcolm Island deer like to try everything - deer resistant or not!   Deer fence is still coming
A bit of pond building...

Harvesting about 10% of our cherries...The birds got the other 90%.
Tools used for spitting cedar slats from the right kind of beach wood.
Taking a well earned break in the sunshine.
Having our first ever campfire on our own property. We shared the occasion with Jim's brother
Peter and his partner, Kathleen.  What a great time we had singing all the old 70's songs we know so well.
Kathleen and Peter gave us beautiful vibrant sunflowers on our 27th anniversary.  Smelling' the flower.
Mr. Rooster and two of his girls visiting from across the street.

Building a vertical wall is hard work!!!
Brendan and grandson Rio 'driving' an excavator.
Cherries right outside our front door.
Dew in the morning clinging to the wild grasses.
Down the garden path.

So  there are more blog postings coming but this just gives you a look at what's up.

Cheers for now

Tricia and Jim
